History

Pontypridd YMCA provides a community space at the heart of Pontypridd Town centre. We are used by a wide range of organizations to provide training, language classes, meeting space for support groups etc. We also provide space for activities such as martial arts, dance etc. Pontypridd has been serving the communities around Pontypridd for 100 tears this year 2010 we celebrate our centenary in September.

We are currently in the building phase to provide a fitness suite in Pontypridd we are doing this in partnership with RCT leisure services and have been funded by the Sports Council of Wales, Welsh Church Fund and Coalfield Regeneration Trust.

Having taken time to reflect on past experiences and looking to develop a “building for growth” – i.e. providing a building that supports the growth of its users health and wellbeing and supporting them to meet their full potential, Pontypridd YMCA will endeavour to achieve the following vision, mission and values.
