Y Music
The National Council established Y Music in 1999 to develop a music programme.
Y Music will design and implement an innovative music training programme throughout
Wales to enable young people to develop their personal and group work skills using performing arts.

To recruit young people from across
Wales using our networks of local associations.

To devise appropriate training opportunities for young people to help them explore their musical abilities whether singing, songwriting or technical expertise.

To promote the philosophy of peer education.

To build local, national and international opportunities which will enable young people to achieve their full potential.

To support young people who wish to further their employability in the music industry.

To raise the profile of Y Music and the YMCA in
Wales through the media in
Wales and beyond.
If you want to write your own music and songs, learn how to dj....or put on a show then we can help you. Our youth work team can come to your YMCA with all the equip you'll need to get you on your way!
